This device is the smaller brother of moto z which is a flagship phone but also we can see some similarities in both the devices which makes Moto z play a good mid range smartphone if you want to have a look on my Unboxing video of Moto z play check out the link the description or click on the I button in the top right corner of the screenMoto Z Play

Design :
Now starting off with the design the device comes with 5.5-inch screen size and non-curved back, it feels bigger in one hand. But when you attach any Moto mods then it can become a real problem to you because of its screen size and the Chin at the bottom and top . The other thing which you will not like is the weird placement of volume rockers and the power button of the device. But surprisingly , we have the headphone jack at the bottom of the device has the device is where much thinner and beside to it is a usb type c port .The Moto z play is water resistant and it is not shatter proof.
Display :
The Moto z play has a 5.5 - inch 1080p Super AMOLED display , but if we had got at least 2k display then the device would having a stunning look and it would be a good buy for many people out there. However , we still have Motorola active display intact . The device comes with built in color mode which has two options standard and vivid if you have problems with the screen these would help you out.
Fingerprint Sensor :
Has I told you earlier that the button placement has gone weird on the Moto z play , but you still have an option for locking the screen with the help of fingerprint scanner and it is really nice . On Moto z play the sensor works really well and accurately.
Moto mods :
Talking about mods these make the device not so modular but they add upto an additional benefit for the device and the Moto mods are really costly in India and these are Moto mods which we get with the device and here are the pricing for the mods
Software UI :
The device comes with 6.0.1 marshmallow out of the box and with stock android experience .
The layout ,notification bar and settings look similar. The Moto features are in a single app which is Moto App here we can find many Moto actions for the devices.
Performance :
The Z Play is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone performs pretty well and there are no drop in frames while gaming
There is 3GB of RAM on board which handles multi-tasking really well. But for where few times I have experienced a slowdown while doing many things at once like downloading apps, and trying to navigate the menus. .
Camera :
The camera on the device is a 16 Mega pixel camera on the back and on the front we have 5 Mp camera let's have a look at the rear camera here the camera comes with dual LED flash , Laser auto focus with F2.0 aperture . The front facing camera has f/2.2 aperture .The camera quality of the device is just average and to talk has the photos roll on the screen you can see the difference when we take pictures with good lighting the device performs really well but when we go inside the device starts to produce some noise to the pictures.
Video :
We can shoot videos upto 4K but now we have down scaled this to 1080p taking videos on the device is even better because of the addition of HDR which works even better than the HDR mode for photos thanks to the much improved dynamic range.
Battery life :
The Moto Z Play comes with a 3510 mAh battery that is non-removable and powers the 5.5″ 1080p display. At that display resolution and size, the battery has good life.these screenshots show us that The Z Play provides over 5 hours of screen on time with heavy usage . In most cases, you can get even 7 hours of usage.Moto Z Play also supports Turbo Charging using the Turbo Charger which is given in the box .
Conclusion :
On the Overall the Moto z play is a good device at performance , Gaming , Taking videos , performing tasks , it has a good design and a very well equipped fingerprint sensor . The price point at which it is released is really value the money but having OnePlus 3 closer to the price points make it a bit down the side to Moto z play . But on the positive side Moto Z Play is a complete package that makes very few promises and stand on it.
