Here's a Unity tutorial using the Gear VR controller to build a first person shooter game in 10 minutes! The controller is almost identical to the Daydream controller. We will be using the VR Samples project provided by Unity and tweaking it to work with the controller using the Oculus Integration that you can also get in the Unity Asset Store. Luckily for us, the basics of the game such as scoring and a timer are already developed for us, so we just need to make it work the controller. We will show you how to get the controller rotation, apply it to any game object like the gun provided in the scene, and other tasks like getting an OSIG and applying the proper scripts to your game objects in Unity 2017!
