If this kit were from Nikon or Canon I would expect to pay very much more than the current Amazon price of £34.00. It goes to show that not all budget Chinese products are cheaply made or poorly presented.

The kit arrived in a robust and attractive mid-range product box, strong enough to be used for long-term storage of the lens kit. Inside in a shaped plastic insert was the telephoto lens with rubber lens shields either end, Wideangle lens and Macro lens clipped together for storage with plastic lens protectors front and back. Phone lens clip, focusing ring for the telephoto lens, soft carry bag, User Guide. Build quality seems first rate throughout except for the User Guide which although well written is poorly printed and hard to read. I enclose a scan of it in my unboxing video. Switch to full screen and pause as needed to read it.

The wide angle and Macro lenses are the most useful for me. Both are easily fitted - the lens screws into the plastic mount which then clips over the phone camera lens - and quickly removed. The telephoto lens is more difficult to fit and needs to be very precisely located over the phone lens to avoid vignetting. Due to the telephoto lens weight and the sensitivity of the setup when mounted you really need a tripod for best results. A useful focusing ring aid is provided for use with the telephoto lens. Once fitted all the lenses are capable of giving excellent results with little distortion or colour fringing.

This would make an excellent gift for anyone that enjoys using the camera built into their smartphone. It should work with almost any phone of conventional design and the attractive presentation makes it all the more acceptable as a gift.
