The phone didn't do to well due to poor marketing, not enough people being fond of ZTE, and people just not being ready for this type of tech innovation. I'm sure it being am AT&T exclusive had to do with poor sales as well so its still running on Android Nougat 7.1.2 because its no longer being supported.
