At $299 this is pricey compared to similar cameras (like the Samsung Gear 360) especially given it does not work without a compatible Moto phone. But if they can get the social media 360 live streaming working I think there might be a differentiating factor on this device that - especially given that it connects directly to the phone vs. relying on a wireless connection.
