I have been looking around some zoom lenses for mobile on amazon and I was curious to test out a telephoto lens for smartphone to see if it actually is worth buying or not.

Mobile zoom lenses have really become popular in the recent days but do these cheap telephoto or zoom lenses for smartphones work at all? Well, after testing this Rewy Universal 12X Zoom Mobile Phone Telescope Lens, I found out that these are decent products but one cannot really expect great results from such cheap zoom lenses or telephoto lenses for smartphones.

I honestly and frankly would not recommend any type of zoom lens or telephoto lens for mobile or smartphone because they are not really that sophisticated like the real optics and lenses that are being used in DSLRS' and they are pretty expensive. It's a no brainer that at such cheap price tags, one can't really expect great results out of these. These are not really meant for serious photographers but yes, it's okay for casual use and for someone who is a tech enthusiast and wants to try out such cool little gadgets.

Having said that, this particular zoom lens that I have used is actually not all that bad. The quality was not great but it was just about ok and the funny thing is that it also has a focus right which actually works. Overall, it was fun using it for sure.
